AFTER CARE

DAY 1 :

5 minutes after the procedure

  • Blot the excess lymph using a new clean tissue gently and frequently.

      30 minutes after the procedure

  • Wash your hands with antibacterial soap before you wash the treated area. Then wash the area gently but very well without rubbing, scrubbing and stretching the skin with a fragrance-free gentle cleanser (such as Cetaphil, baby shampoo, etc...) and lukewarm water.  In this way, the excess lymph is removed in order to prevent formation of scabs, which are otherwise devastating when it comes to pigment.

  • Pad dry with a tissue or paper towel, then apply a very thin layer of the ointment with clean fingertips or Q-Tip.

  • During the first day, this process should be repeated 3-5 times.

DAY 2-7 :

  • Rinsing is not needed because lymph will not be coming out any longer.

  • Apply the ointment morning and night daily.

  • The treated area must not get wet while washing the face or having shower.

  • In clients with extremely oily skin, the after care - rinsing and applying the ointment is recommended only on the first day, while in the following days the client should not apply any ointment or cream.

  • NO makeup or skincare products to be used on the treated area until healed.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum of 4 weeks after your procedure.  Direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change color while it is healing and can also cause hyper pigmentation and scarring.

  • Avoid pool, sauna, steam rooms, hot showers and/or hot baths for 7-10 days.

  • Avoid sweating on your face for 7-10 days. Sweating through or on the brows will expel pigment from the dermis producing poor results.

  • Avoid sleeping on your face/brows for the first 7-10 days.

  • DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area!  Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off.  Picking can cause scarring and pigment loss!!

IN THE NEXT 30 DAYS AVOID:

  • Sun tanning, sunbeds, light(laser) therapy, chemical peels, fruit acids, microdermabrasion, creams that contain regeneration factors.

  • You should always avoid laser treatments over the treated area during the healing period (Fraxel laser, IPL) because they can destroy the pigment and cause inflammination.

  • Faster fading out of pigment can happen if the clients use antibiotics or hormonal therapy.

  • Always protect the treated area from the sun by using sun prottection cream (not only during the first 7 days) when going out in the sun to stop the color from fading.
